Mountaintop Public Library Schedule

Mountaintop Public Library will follow an abbreviated schedule in June 5-9 and 12-16. Call ahead to make sure we are open.

Full Board Meeting

The Region VI Workforce Development Full Board will meet Thursday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau located in Fairmont. For information contact Maria Larry at 304-368-9530.

Bike And Hike

Parsons Bike and Hike will be Saturday, June 3 at Mill Race Park. Walk or Bike the Allegheny Highlands Trail. Registration at 8:30 a.m. Parking available at Performance pre-owned.Helmets required for all cyclists. Entrance fee $5 for adults and $3for age 10 and under. Proceeds benefit the Parsons Revitalization Organization.

Vacation Bible School

The Parsons Church of the Nazarene will be having Vacation Bible School, June 5-9 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. each evening. All children welcome to come join us for an exciting adventure at Camp Kilimanjaro.

Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program “Build A Better World” at Five Rivers Public Library will be on Wednesdays, June 7, 14 and 21 from 10 a.m. – noon for ages through fifth grade. Reading, Crafts, Games, Activities and snack. Everyone welcome.

Open House

North Central West Virginia Community Action will host an Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 at 513 Central Avenue in Parsons. There will be information available about the programs and services. Everyone welcome.

TVFD 100th Anniversary Open House

The Thomas Volunteer Fire Department will host an open house for their 100th anniversary from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 3. Visit local law enforcement agencies, Smokey the Bear, Health Net helicopter, Leadmine CERT Team and EMS. Hotdogs and door prizes will be available throughout the day. Everyone welcome.
