TUCKER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY PERFORMS WELL AT LIBERTY

CLARKSBURG – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams traveled to Liberty High School in Clarksburg for a meet on Thursday October 4th.


In the Girls’ Race 28 runners competed and the Lady Mt. Lion runners finished as follows: 3rd – Kate Falls(24:42), 10th – Karlee Smith(27:04), 11th – Kristin Hicks(27:31), 20th – Kandance Nestor(33:13), 21st – Emma Wamsley(33:39), 22nd – Zoe Nestor(34:15), 23rd – Inza Pacella(34:53).

In the Boys’ race 38 runners took to the course and the Tucker County Boys’ took home first place honors as a team. The Mt. Lions runners completed as follows: 8th – John Anderson(21:35.08), 9th – Holden Young(21:35.40), 11th – Chris Chambers(21:58), 12th – Will White(22:53), 14th – Clay Poling(23:20), 18th – Haden Wamsley(23:39), 20th – Conor Greenlief(24:04), 22nd – Taylor Long(24:18), 25th – Ethan Pacella(24:45), 28th – Jon Rhodes(25:38), 30th – Cameron Wamsley(26:18).

Both teams will return to action on Thursday October 18th at Doddridge County for the Regional Meet at 4:30pm for the Boys’ and 5:15pm for the Girls’. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
