Mt. Lions Take 5th Place at State Golf Tournament

WHEELING – The Tucker County Golf team traveled to Oglebay Resort in Wheeling on Tuesday and Wednesday October 8th and 9th to compete in the State Golf Tournament.

The Mt. Lions finished the Tournament in 5th place as a team. St. Marys won the Class “A” State Championship with a two day total score of 532. Richie County took State Runner-Up with a score of 553. Charleston Catholic had a 558, Ravenswood scored a 561 and Tucker County rounded out the top 5 with a score of 564.

Tucker County golfers finished as follows: 14th-Harper Russell(91, 90, 181), 17th-Holden Young(93,90,183), 25th-Nathan Dearborn(101,99, 200), 28th-Myles Paugh(103,102,205).
Rigal Wilson won the Class “A” individual State Championship with a score of 80,85,165. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
