Lew Brewer, executive director of the West Virginia Ethics Commission, is coming to Tucker County to lead two sessions on the state’s Open Meetings laws.
The presentations – which will cover the same basic information – are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Tucker County High School. Brewer’s appearance is being coordinated by Commissioner Tom Carr, who has encouraged members of all county boards and agencies to attend.
In addition to county board members, municipal elected officials are encouraged to attend, as are members of the public. Representatives of The Parsons Advocate will attend both sessions as well.
Among the topics Brewer will cover are proper postings of agendas, when executive sessions are acceptable and other similar issues.
