Lady Mountain Lions to play Trinity

Tucker County’s girls basketball team is the No. 3 seed in the Class A state basketball tournament and will play No. 6 Trinity at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 11, at the Charleston Civic Center.

The Lady Mountain Lions earned their way to the state tournament Wednesday night with a 67-32 victory over Clay-Battelle.

The Cee-Bees lost to Trinity 57-55 in the Region II Section I final. The Lady Warriors are 19-3.

Tucker beat Trinity in last year's Regional final in the only previous meeting between the two teams.
